Renata was a desperate young mother when she first came through the doors of The Scott Mission. She was frightened and had nowhere else to turn for help, but within the first few minutes she knew she had found a bit of heaven on earth.
God’s love flowed through every service and program that came to the aid of Renata and her little ones . . . a special Mother’s Ministry and Family Camp outreach brought renewed faith and hope into their hearts. And at Christmas, caring friends like you ensured there was a present for every child under the tree.
The Scott Mission staff helped Renata in other ways, too; building her confidence and readying her for successful employment so she could be the kind of mother she longed to be. Today, Renata has a full-time job in construction that does just that! “God gave me the gift to work, to provide for my children, and to still have time for them. I am so glad for that.
“The Scott Mission is an amazing place, and I am so grateful for the help we received with clothing, the food bank, and also with counselling and advice,” Renata says. “They feed families, but in my case they helped me emotionally as well.
“The Scott Mission is a place that can help. They give you hope,” Renata says. “No words can express how grateful we are for the staff and donors. We’re so thankful that there are people who give and offer help to families in need. Thank you!”
