Just 15 years old, Ana is the picture of grace and confidence. But it wasn’t always that way.
At the urging of her mother, Ana attended her first Scott Mission Camp at the age of 13. She was shy, nervous, and worried that she wouldn’t fit in or be accepted by the other children.
To her relief, she did fit in . . . and made a lot of new friends with whom she is still close today! “It was a relief that I was able to mix with the others,” Ana says. “Everyone enjoyed having me there.”
The entire camp experience was fun, unique, and life-transforming for Ana, who has been back every year since and is participating in our Foundations leadership program so she can fulfill her dream of becoming one of Scott Mission Camp’s counsellors one day.
“Scott Mission Camp has affected my life in many different ways. It’s an open environment, and I can talk freely with the counsellors. And they have very good music worship teams,” Ana says.
“I feel like a lot of kids rely on The Scott Mission’s programs. It’s a great way to keep us on a good path, which is difficult for some.”
Ana is truly thankful for your support of The Scott Mission, which funds all of her favorite activities—summer camp, winter retreats, after-school programs, and so much more.
