If you’ve been blessed to attend Scott Mission Camp or taken a personal tour, then you know what a special and breathtakingly beautiful place it is-soaring trees, a sparkling pond, and rustic cabins that can make any child forget all about their favourite video game. And you also know that each of the more than 600 children and youth who come through our gates this summer are going to laugh, sing, make new friends, and try new things.
But there’s so much more! Many of these boys and girls will learn of God’s love for the first time. And all will learn the difference between good decisions and bad ones, knowledge that will serve them well throughout their youth, teenage years, and adulthood.
I know this because that’s how it was for me when I began attending Scott Mission Camp as a child. And because I see and hear it so often from others who are now adults and make a point of donating so that the next generation of children can also have the opportunity to be outdoors, to hear the Gospel, and know the love of the Lord.
Support from friends like you moves me to tears of gratitude because, like so many of the children I will meet this summer, I couldn’t have gone to camp if someone like you hadn’t given generously to make it possible. So whatever the amount of the gift you give now, please know that your investment is actually changing lives.
Thank you for allowing God to use you to give children a week of camp and a lifetime of memories.
Giving thanks for you,
Camp Director, The Scott Mission
