Other Ways to Give

Gifts in Kind

Your help is needed more than ever right now. Everyday hundreds of clients seeking food and clothing come to The Scott Mission. Many people have recently been laid off and never imagined they might need the assistance of a food bank. This is why your support today is so important.

Planned Giving

Planned giving is looking to the future and making a decision about leaving something to a charitable organization or individual such as family and friends. A planned gift can come in the form of a bequest in your Will, RRSP, Life Insurance policy, or Charitable Remainder Trust.

Corporate Giving

As the corporate community increases their involvement in the not-for-profit arena, it greatly strengthens our ability to reach those who are in need, and who are desperate for our assistance.

Donation of Securities

As a result of the May 2, 2006 federal budget, donations of publicly listed securities to charities are exempted from capital gains tax.

Church Giving

We are thankful to churches that partner with us to bring hope and essential items to those we serve. There are a variety of ways that churches can help the Mission.
