“I am really thankful for the Mission’s donors . . .”

The ongoing challenges wrought by the coronavirus have devastated many businesses and made it difficult for countless people to find enough work to pay rent and keep food on the table. Your support is making a difference each day for people across Toronto—like John—who went from being a successful businessman to a neighbour in need.

John never imagined that he might one day be hungry, homeless, jobless, and without hope.

Yet, the day he came through The Scott Mission’s doors he had little else but the clothes on his back. Over a hot meal, John shared, “I’ve lost everything.”

Thanks to support from caring friends and donors, the Mission offered John safe shelter, clothing, and the encouragement to rebuild his life. Staff also prayed with and for him, assuring John that God had a plan for his life. It was the first time in a long time that John felt hope.

“When you’re at your lowest, the Mission works,” he says. “I am really thankful for the Mission’s donors. Without The Scott Mission’s help, I wouldn’t have survived.”

Please use this Meal Ticket to provide food and hope for neighbours who are facing hunger, homelessness, and hopelessness this Thanksgiving!

Your support of The Scott Mission provides a lifeline to families and individuals who are struggling with unemployment and underemployment. Thank you for ensuring that food is available to our neighbours, now and in the days leading up to Thanksgiving!
