Childcare Centre
The Scott Mission Childcare Centre gives
children ranging in age from 18 months to six years old an opportunity to learn about the world around them through
play, discovery and experience. Teachers educate children in a warm and
caring atmosphere and show them Christ’s love through prayers, songs,
stories, and activities.
The Centre was established to serve needy families seeking quality childcare. It is licensed by the province of Ontario and has four spacious classrooms that house 61 children.
The Centre gives parents the opportunity to spend time looking for work, going to job interviews, upgrading their education or accessing language courses. It also provides stability and security for parents once employment is found.
Objectives
- Through an early childhood
education program, we provide care that stimulates all areas of a
child's development: physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and
spiritual.
- Through daily contact, parent education programs and organized family occasions, we encourage families and witness the love of Christ to them.
Our Teaching Team
Our
teachers have a wealth of experience and are committed to quality
Christian early childhood education. Prayers, devotionals, Bible songs
and stories are an integral part of each day.
Who qualifies?
Those
declared by Revenue Canada as having an income of less than $40,000
qualify for our childcare program. However, the Director of Childcare
Services would be happy to discuss other childcare services available
outside The Scott Mission. Children seven years of age and over may
also be able to attend our Caledon summer camp (click here for more information).
